“A Life of Galileo” had an almost sold out run. With a large crew and an even larger cast, Theatre St. Thomas pulled off a difficult piece of theatre. This couldn't have been done without the hard work of everyone involved...but this post is for one in particular.
On closing night, Theatre St. Thomas holds a mock awards ceremony. Everyone involved gets a little gag certificate and we sit around and eat pizza. Eventually, everyone heads out to a cast party as per normal. This has been the same in every production I have ever been in with the company. This time, the company gave a standing ovation to one of its most important members, Wei Qing Tan.
This was her last TST show. I can attest to how much work she has put into the last 4 years. Literally blood, sweat and tears. She has selflessly devoted all her free time to the Black Box Theatre, creating tracking sheets, organizing storage rooms, and to training her stage crew. I cannot believe how fast 4 years fly by.
I wish her the best in her future endeavours, and I hope to work with her again in the future. I know whatever company hires her next will have one hell of a stage manager on their hands. We all love you.
